Following ou r Call of Duty: WWII Airborne guide that seems to be well received by our readers based on datawe now take a look at the Infantry Division, or otherwise known as the Assault Rifle class. In this quick class guide, we talk about general tactics, what guns to use, what Basic Training Perks come in handy and why. This is a toss-up. However, the FG is still a beast in the proper hands. Auntyge huththa has an insane three-hit kill range, low recoil, and decent iron sights.

For those who want little to no recoil, decent iron sights that means an extra attachment spot for something else! Check out the stats below. Finally, we have the BAR, which got hit with a major nerf as expected given how easy it is to use. More and more people are using the BAR given its fast fire rate, above average damage, and moderate recoil.

With these three weapons, it all boils down to personal preference, but for a gun that has virtually no weakness at all, the STG44 wins. The FG has a super slow fire rate, but can three-hit kill anyone on almost the entire map. Give each one a go, and see which one suits your playstyle best. Same as the guns, this one boils down to personal preference.

We even made a feature that shows you how to put in five gun attachments in one weapon! After messing around with it, I found it the most underwhelming gun gated by Prestige. Stay with the base guns we mentioned above!

Stay tuned in the coming days as we cover the other Divisions and offer our thoughts. Dark Mode. Alex Co 0. Share this:. Alex Co Editor-in-Chief. Source: SP1st Published: April 13, - Source: SP1st Published: April 12, - Source: SP1st Published: April 11, - GameWith uses cookies and IP addresses.

Call of Duty WW2 Best Weapons Guide

Assault Rifles are a beginner friendly weapon due to their automatic firing mode and relatively low recoil. Their handling can easily be controlled to help ease beginners into the game's fast pace. Assault Rifles are best used when engaging enemies in mid range.

They are the ideal weapon for beginners who are are still learning effective combat distances as they can also somewhat be used in close and long range shootouts. SMGs are one of the go-to weapons when fighting in tight and enclosed spaces. They make up for their relatively low range with a high fire rate in order to quickly take out tangos when they get too close!

Shotguns are handy in close combat situations. Despite having a low fire rate, they make up for it in sheer power. Their shots travel in a spread, guaranteeing that most if not all shots land on an enemy for huge amounts of damage! LMGs are great for long sustained fire, allowing you to suppress enemies from firing back.

Thanks to their large magazine size, you can keep you finger on the trigger for a long time! Due to the sheer firepower of this weapon, its accuracy may suffer when shooting for prolonged amounts of time. Some LMGs have high recoil, which means that it may require a good bit of handling to keep your mark on targets! Marksman Rifles have a lower fire rate due to their semi-automatic or burst fire modes. However, these weapons are as deadly as any other since the lower rate of fire lets players connect their shots due to lower recoil!

Sniper Rifles are scoped weapons which allow you to scout out further distances. Despite being able to deal damage at range, their scoped nature does not make them ideal in close quarter engagements. Sniper Rifles can deal devastating damage in one-shot.Assault rifles are always some of the most popular weapons in Call of Duty titles, especially from a competitive standpoint. There are currently seven assault rifles in Call of Duty: WWII —but three of them really stand out when compared to the others.

And even then, one assault rifle in particular is clearly the strongest weapon in this class—and quite possibly the entire game. Update Dec. Many professional players have once again started using the BAR as their assault rifle of choice at this time.

Almost every professional player has been using the FG as their assault rifle of choice—mainly because the BAR has been nerfed so much recently. As long as you have an accurate shot, you can kill multiple enemies in quick succession.

The FG, however, is very deadly from long range—and some would argue that the slower fire rate helps you control your shot better in long-range gunfights. It killed very quickly at medium to long range, and could even compete with submachine guns in close quarters engagement.

For public multiplayer, the BAR is the last assault rifle you unlock—other than the SVT, which you can get after prestiging the Infantry division. If you preordered the gamehowever, you can use your free weapon unlock to get the BAR right after your first match. Although the STG holds more ammo and statistically has a higher fire rate than the FG and BAR, you can just tell in-game when using these guns that the other two are better—trust us.

But at this stage in the game, the STG can be considered the third best assault rifle. For a gun that has such a high fire rate, the STG surprisingly has low recoil—especially with a grip equipped. But again, so does the BAR. If you have both weapons unlocked, we recommend using the BAR.

Skip to content. Screengrab via Activision. Older Posts. The weapon is a very high damage weapon, sporting a 2 shot kill at short to medium range and a 3 shot kill beyond that. The weapon's lever is cocked very fast when firing, giving it a fire rate of RPM, like a semi-automatic rifle. This weapon's main downside is that it has a magazine capacity of 8 rounds, with no way to increase this.

This is the same as the M1 Garand, which faces the same issue. This forces the player to use their rounds wisely, instead of rapidly firing them off as they would with the MK14which has a capacity of 20 rounds and can mount Extended Mags. This weapon can mount all standard assault rifle attachments with the exception of the Extended Mags, as stated above.

The Lever Action referred to as Winchester 94 in the game files is briefly seen in the campaign without a scope. It is wielded by Ronald "Red" Daniels during the intro cutscene of " Stronghold ". The weapon was added to the sniper rifles class as part of the Attack of the Undead event on May 29 th The Lever Action features the highest rate of fire of any manual-action sniper rifles, with a similar damage model to the Type 38Lee-Enfield and De Lislebeing a one shot kill to the torso and above.

The Lever Action is favorable for rapid follow-up shots and good handling characteristics but has one key weakness: its reload time is rather slow, putting the player out of the fight for up to 6 seconds. Hustle is recommended to reduce this time, but if the player can manage to stay in s safe location another basic training might suit the player better.

The Lever Action might be considered a mix between the two archetypes of semi-auto and manual-action sniper rifles, as its fire rate is near the PTRS's effective fire rate, but also possesses the good handling traits of bolt-action snipers.

Damage is good, surpassing the Lee-Enfielddoing good damage up until the early 20s. Rate of fire, like its Multiplayer counterpart, is favorable, being able to follow up on missed shots with ease. Reloads are still rather long but Schnellblitz can help remedy this. It is recommended as with all sniper rifles, that the player have a back up weapon to defend them should they be caught reloading or if the situation does not favor using the Lever Action.

When upgraded, the Lever Action becomes the Trixiegaining increased damage and ammunition. The Trixie is effective until the late 30s but reloads are still an issue, more so if the player does not have Schnellblitz, and as such the player should adopt a mobile playstyle, avoiding zombies the player cannot kill and training the zombies.

Quick firing marksman rifle that quite surprisingly has low recoil, making follow up shots easy to connect.

The M4A1 is a fast firing and accurate assault rifle that can easily be controlled. This beginner friendly weapon allows new players to get a good grasp of the game's mechanics.

Despite losing some of its effectiveness in updates, it's still extremely reliable! Possesses a high rate of fire, but packs less of a punch when compared to the M4A1.

Despite this, it has better handling than the former. This weapon is unlocked at Level 1 and will be a useful weapon up until the end game. The PKM features a large magazine size, good accuracy, and a decent fire rate. This weapon is obtainable in the early game and scales well with its great selection of attachments. The MP5 is a very accurate and stable close range weapon.

Its high DPS makes it excellent in enclosed environments. This weapon also has a variety of attachments which you can equip to suit your playstyle. A weapon with a high fire rate in a controllable, can even outshoot opponents that shot first.

If you instead need anything else surrounding the multiplayer side of Call of Duty: WW2, including the overall best weapons in the game, as well as the best ways to Presige and level up as quickly as possible, head on over to our Call of Duty: WW2 multiplayer guides hub.

Rifles are arguably the main class of weaponry in this iteration of Call of Duty, when it comes to the multiplayer side of things. The rifles in the game mainly focus on firepower, beating out that of the sub-machine gun weapons, but they aren't nearly as powerful as the light machine guns or shotguns in the game. They do have other benefits besides firepower however, including a rapid fire rate, solid reload speed, and steady accuracy. Just below, we'll be running down the best rifles in Call of Duty: WW2based on our time with the game so far.

We'll note all the various strengths and weaknesses with each weapons, as there are a litany to be found based on the game mode you're taking the particular rifle in to. What the BAR somewhat lacks in accuracy, it more than makes up for in sheer firepower, with a decent fire rate to back it up. Considering that you can get attachments like Steady Aim that drastically increase the accuracy of the BAR, it's always a weapon to go no matter the situation.

In terms of what multiplayer game modes you want to equip the BAR for, there's honestly not a wrong answer. The BAR excels in taking out players quickly and effectively, so Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All are obviously solid choices, but it's also great at taking and holding an area, and so it's great weapon to use in Domination or Hardpoint. Because of the relatively low damage and range of the STG44, it's a weapon best used in fairly close quarters, unless you can level it up enough to unlock the Steady Aim and other accuracy-enhancing attachments for it.

For game modes that the STG44 excels at, you'll likely want to go for straight killing-orientated games. While it's a great weapon to use in both Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All, it's also a good weapon to use in Kill Confirmed and War, particularly when you're defending a point against attackers in the latter mode. For our third weapon in the best rifles in Call of Duty: WW2 rankings, we're actually going back to the very first rifle you'll start with in the game: the M While this weapon might seem overly basic given that you start with it, the M actually packs a punch, while also boasting the best fire rate out of every rifle in Call of Duty: WW2.

Because of the excellent fire rate of the M, as well as the solid damage and accuracy of the weapon, there's not really a bad game mode to use this weapon for. It's a brilliant weapon for taking down players incredibly quickly in Deathmatch games, and it's also good for clearing out or defending a point in either Hardpoint or Domination. This might sound like a slightly strange option for one of the best rifles in Call of Duty: WW2, but the M1 Garand is actually a brilliant weapon, when placed in the hands of someone with a quick trigger finger.

The M1 Garand might be a semi automatic weapon, but it can take out virtually any player in two hits to the torso region, or even one headshot if the player is already injured. Therefore, it's a solid weapon to use at range, and we'd strongly recommend going for the M1 Garand when you find yourself in a wide open map.
